Members of the Key Club recently went to the store, purchased on their own what items they wanted, and assembled various Halloween gifts using their purchases. They then personally delivered the gifts to school cleaners and custodians.

Transportation Update
We want to apologize to all the families that were inconvenienced by our driver shortage today. We appreciate your flexibility and want you all to know that we have been able to make the necessary arrangements for buses 181 and 182 to carry out their regular runs tomorrow. Bus 182 will run as originally planned for the rest of the week and bus 181 will be running regular routes tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. At this point we do anticipate bus 181 being unable to run on Friday, October 22 but we are working to find coverage for that run and will provide an update as soon as we are able to do so. Once again, we apologize and thank you for your patience and understanding.
3rd graders in Mrs. Zahm's class use sweet treats to practice solving multiplication problems.
Due to an unexpected bus driver shortage we are unable to transport students who ride buses 181, 182 and 187 tomorrow. If you can bring your children to school and pick them up that would be greatly appreciated - if you cannot, your children can access Google Classroom from home and they will be counted as in attendance for the day. We apologize for this short notice and will provide you with updated information tomorrow.
Winter Sports Signups are now underway! Students can sign up outside the gym. Families must register on FamilyID at this link:

As the weather forecast continues to trend negatively, we are going to move our Homecoming Dance inside to the gym. It will still be held Sunday, October 17 from 7-9 PM. Masks will be required inside the building. Thank you for understanding while we make changes in order to hold the dance for our students.

Mrs. Nelson’s first grade class has been learning about the movement of the earth around the sun, how the sun creates shadows and how those shadows change throughout the course of a day. They used flashlights as the “sun” and moved them throughout their “sky” to see how the shadows of their gnomes change.
This young Barred Owl came to Ms. Burns after being hit by a vehicle on Slide Rd. near Ellery Center. The Middle School Open House, scheduled for October 13th, has been POSTPONED. We are currently working on a plan to safely have this event, however at this point, it would not be possible to have all the students and parents in the school at the same time.
